It could be a turning point in your life.

 

Sandra Kazan has over 20 years experience as a voice and speech coach.  Serving on the faculty of Hebrew Union College in New York City as its communication consultant, she offers training in voice and speech as well as coaching students in the delivery of sermons.

Sandra started out as an actress and received her training at the School of Performing Arts in New York City and continued her study with the acclaimed acting teacher Michael Howard, and voice and speech coaches, Patsy Rodenburg, Kristin Linklater, and Joan Melton.  Appearing on Broadway in the original company of Fiddler On The Roof and Caligula, her film credits include: Sidney Lumet's Dog Day Afternoon, and Serpico, Michael Roemer's The Plot Against Harry, and Robert M. Young's Caught

She also studied voice and accents in London at the Central School of Speech and Drama.  Always aware that the voice is connected to the body, she studied the Feldenkrais Movement with Dominique Weibel and continues her singing studies with master teacher Jeannette Lovetri.

She has narrated many books on tape, both fiction and non-fiction, for the Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library.

True to the Game, a one-hour film she cast and produced with director Robert M. Young for ITVS for public television, won the 2004 Silver Screen award in the US International Film & Video Festival and is now available through the Bureau for At-Risk Youth.

Food for Thought Productions, the lunch hour theatre at the National Arts Club in NYC has presented her adaptation of Edith Wharton's short story, Roman Fever.

Serving as a speech coach on the faculty of The New York State Defenders Association. Basic Trial Skills Workshop held at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, she has worked with many attorneys in private practice and led acting workshops for lawyers from the Legal Aid Society.

Among the many clients who have worked with her and attended her accent reduction workshops are corporate executives from: Shinonogi & Co, Ltd, Sankyo USA. Co, Nippon Kayaku Co., Ltd, Yaminouchi U.K., Ltd., Dainippon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, Verizon Apex, Thacher Proffitt & Wood, Jewish Outreach Institute.
